My name is Debbie Miller. I am a long time resident of Illinois. After growing up in Oak Park, and meeting my husband Paul, we decided to move to DeKalb twenty or so odd years ago to raise our children. As our children grow and become more independent, I find I am able to enjoy my other passions. I have many ... scrap booking, gardening, photography, dancing, canning jellies and salsas to name a few.

My interest in photography began in childhood. I remember being mesmerized watching my father with a camera. He instilled in me a joy and love for photography. I have developed an interest in birdwatching through my photography that continues to grow. My good friend Trudy taught me everything I know about gardening and has turned my brown thumb green. I now have a beautiful garden to photograph because of my beautiful friend Trudy.  My sister and I share a common interest in photography and draw from each others strengths. She continues to be an inspiration to me. We have fun connecting daily on our Two Sisters Two Cameras Two States Apart Blog called Juxapose You Were A Camera. She sends me a candid or random photograph she recently took. I then choose a candid or ramdom shot from one of my daily happenings and send them back to her to blog. Most of my summers are spent outside with camera in hand. I am amazed by all the incredible things that happen in my own backyard. The same old yard changes and has a different scene daily. There is always something new for me to discover and take pictures of. Whether I am in my own backyard or beyond, I find myself stalking critters. I squat, crawl and creep around in my garden, in parks and really anywhere in nature in an attempt to get as close as humanly possible without disturbing the natural balance of a Nature-ally Beautiful moment. Being patient and motionless pays off, the birds and little creatures become used to my presence allowing me to capture undisturbed beautiful moments like a male cardinal feeding the young of a common house finch or that golden second when a hummingbird hesitates giving you a glimpse of it's beauty. When I do slow down and pay attention to all the wonderful little things around me, I am struck by how much there really is to treasure and be thankful for.

With the encouragement of my family, friends and neighbors, I have combined my passion for gardening, birdwatching, photography and my love of nature to create a line of original photo note cards. My blank photo note cards offer a unique perspective allowing my customers a chance to catch many 'a glimpse' of how much there really is to appreciate all around us. A moment to reflect, slow down, and soak in all that is Nature-ally Beautiful. My vivid images of nature combined with beautiful words and quotes that poetically mirror each other, are aimed at making that special someone's day. Quotes have been loved for ages, just a few words can profoundly touch the receiver. You can simply let the image chosen and quote speak for themselves or add your own sentiment to the inside.
